Back in our daycare days we took pics of the same tree to teach the kids about seasons. I think the decorated box with trees behind it is more fun.

The snow was beautiful. It was melting while more fell on top! North Carolina snow has no holding power. I would have appreciated that attribute while working in NY.

We skipped the walk today. The snow was too deep and possibly had ice underneath. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

We didn’t go out today and were snug with no electric outages.

I’m glad to hear it. I hope my sister in High Point fared well. Last we heard it was eight inches high. I need to get off the computer and give her a call.

Big roads in our area are pretty good, but the little ones are icy and treacherous.

I tried calling and she didn’t pick up…I’ll try later. If electricity went out she might not have any power left in her phone.

Its freezing in High Point at 7 pm, going down to 22 tonight. Roads refreezing. Not many customers without power.

It is indeed. the nights are getting colder now. January and February are our coldest months but compared to you. they must be just like the onset of summer there.

Yes, both the round photo in the post and the header were taken Sunday. The post belongs to neighbors, and they took that one. Neighbor Joyce took the header shot of our home when she went to her house to get her dinner to heat up. We were the only ones with a generator, so our microwave was working, and our toilets were flushable.
