A routine visit to a doctor’s office brought unexpected laughter. The technician rolled the blood pressure machine in and slapped the cuff around my arm. It seemed to go through its program normally. She looked at the display and exclaimed, “All zeroes!”
I asked, “Does that mean I’m dead?”
“No!” she replied. IT’S dead!”
So glad it wasn’t the other way around…

Golly! I didn’t think of it that way! I thought it wanted to kill me, but it was already dead.

That happened to Dan. It was his home one and he had to buy another or I had to call the undertaker.

What a choice! I’m glad my tech had a charged machine in the other room.

Those things are always under a lot of pressure and often have breakdowns.

That is funny. Well, this time, this post did show up in my feed, but I did not get an email notification even though I followed by email!! So weird. Glad it was just the machine that died! Happy Fourth!

Glad to find you alive Anne. Happy Day After the Fourth. Today, and tonight, most of the events will take place in our area. Skipped the parade…no kiddies around to enjoy it with…might see the fireworks tonight.

We had parades on Long Island, but they are harder to find in NC. Our neighbors up the mountain set off pretty fireworks last night. Shawn and Logan sat with us on our driveway to watch.

Whew for you; the BP machine is now pushing up daisies. (Remember that expression? I’ve not heard it in ages.)

You would hear about pushing up daisies at our house. John uses the phrase fairly often.

I love the old expressions that I grew up hearing all the time. I’m sure most people would not know what that expression means nowadays.

My BP WAS extremely low a few years back (it always runs low) and the nurse asked, “Are you dead??” to which I said, “Not that I know of”. She took it again and said, “Are you sure??”. LOL I’m glad everything turned out great for you!!
