Lise and I always try to visit with former neighbors Connie and Marla while Lise is here. Lise drove us to Sylva where we met them at a barbecue restaurant and went on to an ice cream place, Jack the Dipper. The food and the company were exceptional.
Back at home, we gave David the bag Connie prepared for him and his dog, Kacey. He let her sniff the bag before giving her one of the homemade dog bone cookies. Connie also included a bone-shaped cookie cutter and her recipe for the treats.

Is Lise back in Denmark now Anne? I believe you said she was leaving at month’s end. I used to work with a girl who had a lucrative side job at Christmastime. She baked different sizes of dog bones in chicken and beef flavors and bought inexpensive Christmas stockings and stuffed them with those treats and used a glitter pen to personalize the stocking. They were very cute!

Lise left last night and called me today when she had finished unpacking. We did a lot of things while she was here — a very full visit.
