Chrissie and I enjoyed Valentine’s Day. On our morning walk, she wrote her initials in snow. There were tiny flakes falling on us, which we both loved.
I cooked dark chocolate chip pancakes, and she bought us balloons.
Chrissie’s husband Chris drove here from Massachusetts, then the two of them drove to Florida for a family funeral. We had one meal together when David was also available.
Time always speeds by when I am with them. All too soon Chris was driving north again, but I still have a few more fun days with Chrissie.

They look like a lot of fun! Glad you have good company. ☺️

Oh Anne, I forgot to ask you… do you by any chance have the recipe for those scrumptious-looking pancakes? I’m drooling!

I used a standard pancake recipe and dropped chocolate chips on the raw side before flipping them. If you need the basic recipe, please tell me. I’ll have time to write it out after Chrissie leaves.

Okay, I started to write about the pancakes first, but I am glad you had such a good visit. And those pancakes are huge and look wonderful!

I used to make small pancakes like my mother did, but I now use a quarter cup measure to pour the batter into the pan. There is much less turning involved.

They look fluffy and big as though you used more than a quarter cup. Yummy looking.

The pancakes disappeared over time. None of us were over-eating. It’s good we weren’t in the same room with any of your loaves of bread. That would have been irresistible.

I admit I am having fun, trying different recipes out and building up a repertoire of sorts. Nevertheless, your pancakes looked delicious.

We enjoyed them. I haven’t cooked much for breakfast since John died. Having others around inspires me to cook more often.

Your pancakes look great. I make blueberry pancakes every other Sunday for Paul (and the dogs) I used to make chocolate chip pancakes for my grandchildren when they visited. Looks like you and Chrissy are having a wonderful time together.

I don’t know I looked at the photos, and I didn’t see anything green. My eyesight is not good, having had a leak in the retina several years ago.
