I have used half a bar of extremely beautiful soap. I don’t remember the name of the fragrance, but it smelled sweet and clean. The bar was in my bathroom, so I probably used it only five times a day. (The most constant use of soap is in the kitchen.) There were a swirl of colors that lasted to the very end. Since I had cut the bar in half, there are months of pleasure yet to come. I laugh at myself for being quite stingy, but here is the proof – the end is a mere speck that finally broke in half. While not ready to buy more, I have looked at soaps in local bath and gift shops. None of them looked as pretty or smelled as delicious.
Daughter Lise gave me this wonderful soap. She tried several items and let me have this one. The creator was none other than her best friend from high school who now lives in the Adirondack mountains in New York.
Lise will be surprised to read about this on my blog. She gave me the soap months ago and would not have expected half the bar to last so long. It brought me lots of pleasure, so thank you again, Lise.

Sweet! I used to make bar soap from scratch when I was in Texas. I tried after I moved to Mississippi and the weather was just too humid for it. After ruining two batches, I hung up my goggles.
I share your love of good smelling, good looking hand made soap!

I knew weather was to blame for many things, but ruining soap is a new one to me.

Curing the soap needs a warm, dry place to sit undisturbed. We used my friend’s attic, and in fact our soap was called “Diana’s Attic.” The humidity here was so high, the soap would not cure.

I couldn’t get the two pieces back together.

I love going to shops that have handmade soap. Nothing factory-made smells quite as good. So glad you have another half.

I like shower gel, too. I used my special soap only for washing my hands.

If I was to try one, it would be the cedar wood and lavender! Sounds like the perfect soap to use when bathing before bedtime!

I have used Tone soap for years. It was made by Dial, then they discontinued it sometime in 2022. It was about $8.00 for a pack of eight bars and I always had at least a few eight packs on hand so I never ran out. Then I couldn’t find it and looked on Amazon – the same eight pack of soap was now $120.00 ($137.00 with tax)! Several third-party vendors had bought up the discontinued bars. I tried every soap, liquid and bar, but they made splotches on my face or dried out my hands and face. There was even a Tone Soap Lovers group on Facebook. People made suggestions, including bars of goat’s milk, other soaps and liquid soaps – none worked. I probably spent over $120.00 on new products, only to give in and order it. Got it and it was the genuine article and the Seller had even given me a complimentary bar, so I ordered another multi-pack, cringing that I needed to do so … now Seller is out, so I am waitlisted and when that runs out, I’ll have to just use water!

The cost is out of bounds!

It is, but I was at a loss what to do anymore. This Tone soap was nothing extravagant in the least, but it was wonderfully creamy.
