I came to an abrupt halt when I saw a snake in the road. I told myself to be ready to jump back if it moved. What kind of snake is it? No, first things first. Is it alive or dead? It’s in the road and most likely dead. Good grief! It’s a stick!

That photo was zoomed in. What I saw was smaller.

You would not believe the things I think I see only to see it is not!

I’m that way, too. I used to tell David what I saw, and his brain was flexible enough to see things the peculiar way I did.

I’ve seen only dead snakes on the road. I’ve spotted black snakes in my garden, and that’s a great place for them to be.

That’s the best kind of snake.

That’s my kind of snake … slither-less (if that is a word). 🙂

Slither-less is an excellent description of a dead snake. Another blogger used “noneck” for snake.

Luckily, it was not a snake! But the shape of the stick would have made me think the same thing!

The newspaper this morning warned of copperhead snakes! Of course the article went on to say we are unlikely to encounter one. Guess they just wanted us to read their paper!
