I am not only invisible, I have photos to prove it. As soon as I woke up, I rushed to the French doors to see what the weather was doing. The forecast of snow was not living up to my expectations. There was only dreary rain. Wait! I now had an extra hour of the day, because I don’t walk in rain. I looked at the conditions outside and decided to delight in the freedom of the day. That’s when I noticed my usual self reflected in the glass, only I wasn’t there. Only my socks showed! Of course, I reached for the camera.

They say cameras don’t lie. Should I believe what I saw? Another photo aimed at all of me should show me the truth. Deceptively, I could see right through myself to the deck railing. Now, if only I can learn to harness this new power at will!!

Perhaps you are a ghost!

It felt odd to not be able to see myself in a reflecting glass.

They always say that you can look at things as either a “cup half empty” or a “cup half full.” I like how you turned a rainy day into a positive by framing it as getting an extra hour since you won’t be going on a walk.

It was a most pleasant day.

With that rain, I would have been tempted to take my “socked self” and jump under the covers and spend that hour snoozing. 🙂

If I had needed sleep, I would have gone back to bed. Instead, I wasted time playing games on the phone. It was very relaxing.

I like playing games … I give up Solitaire for Lent every year now because I like playing it so much!

I hadn’t thought of giving up games for Lent. I hope I will forget your sacrifice before Lent begins this year.

Ha ha – I know you love your Word games. I never get too long of a streak in Wordle, but still hate when I break it. I like Spelling Bee and do better with it than Connections. Solitaire is more of a sacrifice for me as I often do it while listening to the news or just between going from one social media site to another. I won’t remind you as Lent draws near about giving up anything. 🙂

My superpower did not last long.

Why didn’t long life? You think positive . Life is God given. Tack Care.

My superpower did not last long because it was an optical illusion. If the angle of the light changed, I would have been able to see myself in the glass. It was fun while it lasted.

I hadn’t thought of that! Maybe the camera was invisible, too. Yes! It was. I was certainly holding the camera when I took the photos. You are sharp to have pointed that out.

I read that someone has invented a material that bends the light and would make you invisible to others.
