Snowboarding on the Map

For at least a year I’ve had the app Life360 on my phone. What fun it has been! My daughters were all for it, because when they put it on their phones, they could tell whenever I left the house. They were also comfortable that I could look at their movements outside. As long as I have my phone in my pocket, they can look at a map showing me walking to the stop sign. Today I looked at my trip to town yesterday and saw my top speed was 55 miles an hour, which happens to be the speed limit for the road I was on.

One day I looked at niece Chrissie’s map and saw zig-zagging lines. I figured she was snowboarding down the mountain. She affirmed that she had been on the slopes that morning. One of these days I hope to see the map live as she is flying down the steep slope.

    1. I enjoy Chrissie’s enthusiasm for snowboarding. She used to hate winter, but she watched her husband and three sons joyously go outside to snowboard. She learned how and is continually improving. Now she looks forward to Winter and every opportunity to go whizzing down the mountain.

  1. When I first saw the image in the reader, I thought, “What is she up to now?” LOL! How cool that that is your niece snowboarding down a mountain! Tell her the next she goes snowboarding to send you a text beforehand so you can watch her! 🙂

      1. I followed your suggestion and looked at Life360 while Chrissie snowboarded today. It was fun. This was a different mountain, and because she was out of range for a while, I couldn’t watch her progress the whole time. The recorded map was not as good as the first one. I laughed that it showed her riding a bicycle while she was on the ski lift, going 9 mph.

  2. I’ve never heard of Life360 app, but it sounds like fun. I do like niece Chrissie’s map, but maybe more as something to look at rather than something to do.

  3. There are getting to be more and more things that I know I’ll never do. One of the things that I’m never going to do is snowboarding. I guess that I need to learn to enjoy it vicariously.

Now we are all on it but I rarely use it🙄I just forgot, the traveling husband and my you test one instead seem to find great pleasure to keep am eye on the rest of the family😂
