I have a new routine with sausage, cooking it in the air fryer rather than in a pan on the stove. The big advantage is a shortened cleanup. Instead of washing the pan, I just throw away one small piece of aluminum foil. The cooking time is also shorter. Having set the cook time for the correct number of minutes, I didn’t have to watch it; I just turned the patty over and let it cook a little more.
The second time I fixed sausage the new way, I heard something odd. There was a whirling sound. The noise stopped as soon as I pulled the basket out. I must have used a smaller piece of foil and pulled it closer to the sausage, because sausage and foil were spinning wildly!! What a surprise! I then discovered that dizzy sausage tastes just like the regular kind!
I have to do everything the old fashioned way..lol

I still do lots of things the old-fashioned way, too.

It would be hard for me to fit two sausage patties in my air fryer. I do only one.

So funny! Glad you didn’t get charged with sausage abuse. I don’t have an air fryer, but my dad used to like to cook breakfast hashbrowns in his and my sister does bacon, among other things, in hers.

I have not tried bacon in the air fryer. I currently use the microwave oven. It seems to me it would be a terrific cleaning job to do it in the air fryer.

I keep wanting to buy an air fryer. Seems like it’s easier for a lot of things especially since there are only 2 of us. Enjoy your sausage!

I bought my air fryer when there were three of us living here. I have used it most since I have lived alone.

do you need a loom to do a spun sausage?

Spun sausage could be looming on my horizon. I should have woven that into my story.

I don’t know, what’s Sausage? I have never seen& eat. What & How it made by recipe.

Sausage is usually made from ground pork with spices added. It can be shaped into a patty, or it could come in links with a casing to hold its shape.

I am starting to do more in my air fryer especially since it is too hot to use the oven. The clean up is easy too.

I’m doing the same thing.

Dizzy sausage! That’s a wonderful term for your meal. I don’t have an air fryer so this is all news to me.

What I heard was something whirling around inside that air fryer. It was an odd sound.

Ha ha – I follow a cooking blog (though I don’t cook, but I like to see what Diane has because they are mostly simple recipes). When she bought an air fryer a few years ago, she filled her blog with so many instances of using the air fryer. I’ve not used one. I was at my grocery store getting crockpot cooking bags and a woman was showing her friend the air fryer she had just bought and said “guess what, you can make toast in it!” I would have no idea you could do that.

I haven’t tried making toast in the air fryer yet. My toaster sits next to the fryer, and I don’t want the toaster to get upset.

I don’t blame you … the toaster has seniority and purpose. š

I cook EVERYTHING in the oven ( except pasta) so much clean and once in there you can do ms y other thing rather than stesri g or watching to avoid them sticking to the pan. You just have to remember the timer š

I’m not good at time! I forgot to look at the time or set a timer. Guess I am a Hands-On cook.
