Lise’s good friends Charlotte and Sander arrived on time, having traveled from Copenhaven to Amsterdam, Atlanta, and Asheville. Thank heaven their flights were normal, without the high drama of Lise’s trip here a week ago! Their flights were not canceled, and their luggage was not lost. We celebrated with a meal at Culver’s.

First thing the next morning, we walked to the stop sign. Thanks to Lise, we have a selfie.

Lise drove us to Sunburst Falls, reminding us that the shower curtain in the main bathroom is an image of that falls. Sander went out on the rocks to get close to the roaring water.

We ladies stayed on the bridge to get a photo of them with the falls.

Charlotte and Sander went down the stairs to Looking Glass Falls after posing at the top with Lise.

They ended the day by shopping at my favorite supermarket, Ingles, while I stayed home to write.
How fun that Lise brings friends to town from overseas. Must be interesting to visit with them!

I’ve never heard the name Sander. Very unique!
Loved all the pics, especially the stop sign! I pray that a good time is had by all the entire time.

Actually, Sander is his last name. There are a number of people with his first name in their close circle, and it was too confusing.

They are fun and enthusiastic. Charlotte has been here many times, but it’s Sander’s first time.

Looks like you are all having a great time! I’m sure they are impressed with the gorgeous scenery.

Yes, they like these mountains. Denmark is fairly flat, but there was snow falling over there, seen on Sander’s phone.

Looks like a great time. My husband and I ate at Culvers last week. Great mushroom burgers.

I like their burgers, but I often get the pot roast sandwich. It is yummy!

Oh, that’s great – sorry, I saw your other comment first. Hopefully no issues with the flight or luggage ….

Magda was late, maybe an hour later than scheduled, but there were no other problems.

The new puzzle is out on the table, still in the box. Lise thinks Magda is going to be thrilled.

When does Magda arrive? They will begin it then? You really will have a full house! Are you doing all the cooking and is Nathaniel popping by to make dessert?

Magda came this evening. Four of us went to pick her up, and they rented an SUV so the five of us can do things together. Tomorrow they are going to see elk, I think, while I get my eye injection. There may not be time for the puzzle, not at first, anyway. We will be eating out several times. Nathaniel lives 3.5 hours away, and we won’t see him again while Lise is here.

That was a good idea to rent an SUV – more room for five of you with heavy coats. I’m glad Magda got there safely. I know Nathaniel is in Charlotte and already got to visit Lise last week, but I thought the lure of making holiday treats for a big crowd may lure him back. Hope the eye injection went well.

The eye injection was fine, thank you. Lise was with Magda last night as she looked at the puzzle photo. Magda loved it!

I’m glad to hear that Anne for both things. I’m sure Magda was very pleased. I also wanted to tell you, for the first time ever, I decided to get a puzzle for my friend Ann Marie. She always brings over baked goodies for holidays and my birthday and a little gift. It was awkward as I don’t bake, so remember the pictures I took of her at Heritage Park fishing? Well, there were three photos, so I made a simple puzzle and it gets there before Thanksgiving. I hope she likes it as much as you all do!

I figured you enjoy it a lot, so I would do something nice for Ann Marie. I got her one of those Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendars (I believe you said you’ve had one before- a friend sends you one yearly). It was the first time to do that, but she is unable to figure out how to load it on the computer – I suggested the phone, but she doesn’t want to do that, so I felt badly and got the puzzle instead.

I couldn’t load the Advent calendar on my computer, either. It’s on my iPad. I think the instructions said you could only install it if you had Chrome as your browser. I was disgusted with that because Chrome has been pushing me to install it for years.

Now that’s interesting – Chrome is pushy about using it as a default browser. I have kept Edge as my default browser. I have Chrome on there, but use Firefox so I can read news stories that I cannot in Edge as they are blocked there by my ad blocker. But Firefox is sooo very slow.

I have all three now and hope they don’t go to war.

Ha ha – I hope not too. I follow the MSN news and if the health tips don’t make you a hypochondriac, the computer tips make you think that everyone is the world wants to gain access to your computer.
