Lazy!!??

When I deal with the garden waterfall, there is always a lot of movement into and out of the screened porch. The remote pump control is inside, as is the water faucet. To add water to the pool, I put the hose in place outside, turn on the water inside, go outside to see when the pool is almost full, turn the water off, and hang up the hose. I described five times going through the door. This particular day I had also trimmed some old plants and watered eight new ones. Was I lazy to leave the gloves on the watering can, instead of hanging them on the handles of the trimmer?

First, I’m a miser by nature. I get pleasure in saving both time and money. The judgment took a few minutes, as I carefully thought of all I had done. I saved steps by temporarily leaving the gloves on the watering can. I wasn’t amused by it until I went back to put things away. It looked so funny to see the empty gloves grasping the handle, ready to move at a moment’s notice. I decided I hadn’t been lazy, after all. I had saved 10 steps to use another day. I will try not to squander them.

      1. Yes, a wise way to spend your time. 🙂 Our warm weather and recent rains have made my backyard look very jungle-like. I was a bit aghast, but it was 93% humidity and already in the 70s, so I was like Scarlet O’Hara and put it off (not tomorrow – it will be 90 with a real feel of 100 – ugh).

          1. I both hate and am in fear of this weather Anne. The last “event” of the past three days is tonight. The severe weather is still in Iowa, but has to get to Michigan, projected to be here sometime after 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. It is 91 degrees right now which adds fuel to the storms.

              1. I feel lucky to have escaped unscathed once again. I was up until almost 2:00 a.m. today. The storm did not come to my area until 1:15 and we had winds over 50 mph (we were supposed to get winds 70 mph, but the storm weakened by then … it had some through other states before going through Michigan). There were two tornadoes, in the Western part of the state a few hours before it reached here. I read that “Tornado Alley” is creeping eastward. Sigh.

                  1. I am glad too Anne. We have some storms tonight, but I think we’ll get grazed, middle of the night, then again mid-day tomorrow whereas western Michigan gets the brunt of it again. I’d be a nervous wreck if I lived there as they’ve had many tornadoes this year. Now, in our seven-day forecast, Monday is a good weather day and then rainy days up until Saturday Not great walking weather at all.
