Gradually the people who helped move neighbors Shawn and Bob went home, and all was quiet. Shawn said she and Bob noticed some things that needed attention when the furniture was out of the house. They were going to fix those things and go spend the night with family. I didn’t look outside until I went out to walk the next morning. My guest was there in the driveway! Bob had asked for permission to park his truck and the trailer there. They couldn’t be left on the property that was no longer theirs.

Bob did a great job of parking, getting the truck and trailer well to one side. It’s likely both will be gone before I need to get my car out. Meanwhile, my property looks like busy people live here. That’s not a bad image to project if nosy people come looking at houses that were/are for sale on this street.
I just realized it’s marvelous that I didn’t have to feed my guest. Can you imagine how much it would cost to fill up that truck?
I hope they weren’t leaving in all the fog, but I guess if you live in the mountains you’re used to navigating around in the fog.

I heard the truck leave as I was playing the piano late this afternoon. I wish I’d heard them come so I could have waved at them. Fog is a fixture every morning and burns off about the time I get home from walking.

It’s been foggy here every morning for the past few days too.

I’d never schedule anything in the morning then … I only had to drive in the fog once and it was enough. I had scheduled my former car to have a leak taken care of and had an 8:00 a.m. appointment the day after Thanksgiving. It was pea soup fog and all the people on the road for their Black Friday deals … thankfully it was less than a mile to drive there.

It’s foggy today, but the sun has almost burned it off.

We don’t get fog too much – Fall and Spring mostly. I never drove to work, except a few times if I had to leave early and one Summer when the bus system went on strike. I caught the bus at the end of the street, so I just walked to catch it and never had to even take the car out of the garage.

That was convenient.

You reciprocate the kindness of your neighbors. I bet they are loathe to leave you but I’m sure they will be back for visits!
